- Speed limit while on the Jockey Lot premises is ALWAYS 5 mph.
- Only one car is allowed for each rented space. Any additional vehicles must be parked in the general parking area.
- Vendors are responsible for cleaning their individual spaces. Vendors will be charged a clean up fee for any space not kept clean.
- All merchandise must be kept within your designed space. i.e. within the yellow lines and on the slab.
- No food or drinks are to be sold unless otherwise stated by the management of the Jockey Lot.
- All fees are to be paid one week in advance. All vendors must pay for their space rental by 3 pm on Sunday before the following week of the flea market. Fees are to be paid at the office and it is the responsibitly of the vendor to come to the office.
- One (1) table will be provided per rental space if vendor so desires. If available, additional tables will be rented for a fee of $3.00/day.
- Outside spaces are first come first serve, unless the tables are paid for three (3) months in advance.
- Set up time begins at 9 am on Friday.
- NO CARDBOARD, PASTEBOARD, CORRUGATED BOXES OR OTHER LARGE ITEMS CAN BE DEPOSITED IN THE TRASH CANS.
- All vendors and customers are responsible for any and all claims of liability, loss, damage or expense arising from any of their acts while on the Jockey Lot and agree to indemnify and hold the Jockey Lot harmless of liability which may arise from their actions while on the Jockey Lot.
- The Jockey Lot does not offer refunds, but does give credit to vendors if their space is paid for and then rented out to other individuals other than the original receipt holder.
- Each vendor receipt is represented by the Jockey Lots “sticker” with the space number and date for which space is rented.
- For the pleasure and comfort of others, parents are requested to control their children at all times in order that they do not interfere with the use and enjoyment of other dealer spaces.
- Any alterations to the building may be done only with permission from the management. Any alterations or improvements become the sole property of the Jockey Lot.
- The use of profanity is prohibited at the Jockey Lot.
- When power is available, vendors must pay for electricity when used for any part of the day. The Jockey Lot reserves the right to disallow certain items from being plugged into the electricity.
- No fireworks or similar products are allowed at the Jockey Lot. Any items questionable in nature or considered offensive will not be allowed at the Jockey Lot.
- All rental rights are personal and cannot be transferred (no subletting) from one vendor to a subsequent vendor without the permission of the Jockey Lot.
- The Jockey Lot will only allow (3) warranted complaints by vendors and will only tolerate (3) warrant complains by customers or other vendors about any individual vendor. The Jockey Lot reserves the right to refuse rental to any individual.
- Permanent vendors who make alterations to their space and/or tables, thus making it difficult to rent to other vendors while not occupied by them, must use their space at least two times every four (4) weeks.
- Vendors are not to sell outside of their spaces to other vendors or to customers. Likewise customers are not allowed to sell to vendors.
- Any dealer, whether it be his first time or not, found with alcoholic beverages in his possession on the Jockey Lot will be asked to leave. The Jockey Lot will not tolerate alcoholic beverages on the premises.
- Many people are offended by profanity and the Jockey Lot feels that using profanity discourages the customers of the Jockey Lot from returning. The use of profanity discouraged the customers of the Jockey Lot from returning. And any who continues to use same will be asked to leave.
- No dogs or pets are to be walked under the sheds by either vendors or customers. The vendors are also responsible for cleaning after their pets and controlling each pet so that it will not interfere with other vendors at the Jockey Lot.
- No weapons, including firearms, shall be carried on the Jockey Lot for protection. However, the Jockey Lot has no objection to the sale of firearms and ammunition, provided the dealer is a licensed dealer and complies with all Federal, State and Local laws. At no time shall any firearms be loaded on the Jockey Lot.
- All dealers who desire to remain overnight in their spaces must register at the office of their intention to stay overnight. There shall be no electric heaters or open fires, however, UL approved heaters are allowed provided they do not interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of the spaces adjoining the heater.
- No vehicle shall be placed of left on the Jockey Lot property unless they are properly insured and have a current valid license tag.
- No containers not owned by the Jockey Lot will be allowed on the property. Also any trailers parked behind a space must be removed by Sunday night unless permission granted by management.
The rental of any space at the market signifies your acceptance of these Rules and Regulations. The management further reserves the right to change any and/or all of the above rules and regulations without notice. A vendor is any individual(s) whose intent is to rent space at the Jockey Lot. The Flea Market refers to the Lafayette Jockey Lot and the manager refers to the General Manager and any individual given management authority.
